Glossary of medical terms

This glossary contains the majority of technical words used in the extracts from birthing tales on this website, e.g. anatomical terms, references to remedies, or to women's health. The aim of the information is to allow readers to understand the words in the contexts in which they are used here.

Glossaire de termes mï¿½dicaux

Dans ce glossaire j'ai relevï¿½ la plupart des mots spï¿½cialisï¿½s employï¿½s dans les rï¿½cits d'accouchements qui figurent sur ce site. Ils concernent par exemple l'anatomie, les remï¿½des, ou la mï¿½decine des femmes. Les dï¿½finitions devront permettre aux lecteurs de mieux comprendre les textes.

Pour faciliter la consultation du glossaire, j'ai gardï¿½ l'orthographe employï¿½e par les auteurs des XVIe-XVIIe siï¿½cles.
